Sheep Camp:  three days of intensive lessons (and loads of fun!).  With only six participants, everyone gets two lessons each day with Kent.  Sheep, goats, and ducks are available, and there is plenty of time to practice what you have learned in between your lessons.  And, if your interest is cattle...talk to us; it can be arranged.

Our Sheep Camp schedule:

Round Pen Sheepcamp:

April 17-18 2004

Here's what students have said about Sheep Camp:

"Real progress, real learning!"

"I think it should be advertised as 'Fifteen Minutes to a New Dog', not Sheep Camp!"  (J. Geier)

During Sheep Camp, all participants will experience on foot (no dog) stock handling - a great way to learn to read livestock and improve those handling skills.  In addition, there are a variety of fun learning  exercises mixed into the heavy-duty work atmosphere, to keep the pace fun and truly interactive.

More About  Sheep Camp:

During Sheep Camp, each person will receive one-on-one training with Kent on each of the three days. IN ADDITION, you will work independently with your dog in a variety of work settings! We have also scheduled time for questions and answers at mid-day as well as discussions, presentations and video review of independent sessions with possible demonstrations in the evenings. We also maintain a variety of stock to broaden dog/handler perception on stock handling.
